Do you want to represent illy, one of the world's most iconic premium coffee brands, and take the lead in growing its presence across London's independent hospitality sector?

Are you passionate about building relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and working in a hands-on commercial role?

The Advocate Group is proud to partner with illy, a globally recognised coffee brand renowned for its Italian heritage, exceptional quality, and commitment to innovation. As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving growth across the HORECA channel, increasing distribution of illy's premium coffee portfolio, and providing technical support to On Trade customers. Acting as the face of the brand, you'll build lasting customer relationships while installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting coffee equipment across your territory.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and expanding a portfolio of independent accounts through regular visits and strong relationship building
  • Create and follow tailored sales plans that align with brand goals
  • Driving volume, distribution, and visibility for the premium coffee portfolio and machinery
  • Supporting the execution of brand activations, events, and marketing campaigns
  • Deliver training sessions to showcase and support key products
  • Installing equipment at relevant locations
  • Responding to equipment repair requests and auditing at required sites
  • Removing equipment from establishments that are not meeting performance expectations
  • Passionate about growing your territory and becoming a strong networker across industry events

About You

  • Clean UK driving license is required
  • 12 months experience in a drinks sales position
  • Coffee passion or knowledge is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in account growth and new business development
  • Self-starter with high energy, ambition, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience within a hands-on job is desired (Bar work, Barista, etc)
  • Passionate and driven to learn new skills
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Highly organised and good time management
  • Great team player and culture add
