Business Development Manager – Defence & Secure Government IT Sales
£65,000 – £70,000 Basic + £40,000 Uncapped OTE + Annual Tax-Free Bonus
Hybrid | South West, Dorset, Hampshire or Wiltshire
Must be eligible for SC Security Clearance or already hold clearance

If you have a successful track record of winning new business within Defence, Government or secure technology environments, this is an opportunity to join an established organisation with ambitious growth plans.
You will be selling a portfolio of high-demand services including Managed IT Support, Cyber Security, Technical Services, Network Management and P3M solutions to some of the UK's most security-conscious organisations.
This is not a role where you inherit a large account base.
This is a genuine new business position for someone who enjoys opening doors, building trusted relationships and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
In return, you will receive excellent support from experienced technical, bid and delivery teams, allowing you to focus on what you do best—winning business.

What you will be doing:
- Developing new business across Defence and secure government organisations.
- Building relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Identifying customer challenges and creating commercially attractive solutions.
- Managing opportunities from first conversation through to contract award.
- Working alongside technical and bid teams to produce compelling proposals.
- Representing the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry conferences.
- Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.

You may currently be working as a:

You will ideally have experience selling one or more of the following:
- Managed IT Services
- Cyber Security
- Network Infrastructure
- Cloud Services
- Professional Services
- Technical Services
- Digital Transformation
Along with experience selling into at least one of the following sectors:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a history of winning new business, building strong customer relationships and consistently delivering against sales targets.

Location:
Hybrid working with travel across the South West and customer sites as required. Candidates should ideally be based within commuting distance of Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire or the wider South West.
