About the Role
We are seeking an highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our field sales team, covering Reading along the M4 corridor to Cornwall.
This role will source, develop and win new business for our corporate health and wellbeing products across South West England. The success criteria for this role is a highly committed self-starter, who is target driven and motivated to excel.
Responsibilities
- Source, develop and win new business for corporate health and wellbeing products across South West England.
- Demonstrate proven experience as a consultative, new business development manager in a field sales, B2B environment.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to maximize every opportunity and drive revenue against agreed targets in a field, virtual (Microsoft Teams), and telephone-based sales environment.
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Display strong negotiation skills to win new business.
Requirements
- Strong demonstrable experience of working in a B2B field-based role.
- Must be able to evidence consistently achieving targets over a minimum of the last 18 months.
- Used to presenting at board level across SME’s to National organisations.
- Tenacious, resilient, and confident individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and objection handling skills.
- A committed self-starter who is target driven and motivated to excel.
- Ability to work efficiently and on own initiative to prioritize own workload, recognizing that the role demands high energy and adaptability.
- Used to sourcing own leads, able to nurture and build relationships from the outset using a consultative approach.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Preferably be comfortable and understand working in a regulated environment.
- Live within the role area of Reading along the M4 corridor to Cornwall.

Additional Information
Please ensure that you read the role profile thoroughly before applying. This is a Home Based role and we are recruiting for someone who lives within the South West area, Reading along M4 corridor to Cornwall, however, regular travel across your geographic region will be required as well as attending events and department meetings in other parts of the UK.
There will be a 2-week induction programme which the successful candidate must be able to attend. This will be held partly on site in York, UK and partly virtually; Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
