Business Development Manager

Huddersfield

Salary: £35,000 Per Annum + OTE
Position: Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

Our client is a well-established and growing print and direct mail business with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to clients across a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business and expand their customer portfolio.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with clients across a variety of sectors.

Working consultatively, you'll understand each customer's marketing and communication objectives, providing tailored print and direct mail solutions that deliver real value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across a range of industries.
  • Attend client meetings to understand business needs and identify opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to customer requirements.
  • Work closely with the internal Account Management, Estimating, and Production teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Develop opportunities across print, direct mail, fulfillment, and marketing services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation and onboarding.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM system.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed new business targets.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Business Development or Field Sales role within the Print, Direct Mail, Mailing, Packaging, or Marketing Services industry.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Commercially aware with a customer-first approach.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
