Business Development Manager

Permanent | 35 hours per week Location: Hybrid / Remote | £40,000 - £42,000 p.a.

Are you a commercially driven relationship-builder who thrives on creating revenue growth? Do you enjoy developing strategic partnerships, delivering high-value sponsorships, and shaping commercial products? If so, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive income across advertising, sponsorship, and B2B qualification and training sales. You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, identify new business opportunities, and take ownership of the institute’s jobs board and recruitment advertising services.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing new commercial partnerships and delivering revenue targets.
  • Managing and growing high-value sponsorship and advertising accounts.
  • Building tailored commercial proposals aligned to client needs.
  • Leading and expanding the jobs board and recruitment advertising offering.
  • Working closely with Marketing and Events to deliver campaigns and sponsorship activations.
  • Analysing performance data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Representing the organisation at industry events to build brand presence and pipeline.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in sales and account management with revenue responsibility.
  • Background in media, publishing, events, recruitment, or professional services.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing skills.
  • Commercial acumen and a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and revenue streams.
  • A proactive, resilient, and results-focused mindset.
