Business Development Manager / Watford / Hybrid / £60,000 base plus bonus
An established and growing B2B insight and services organisation is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate new client acquisition and drive continued double-digit growth.
You will take full ownership of the sales cycle, from identifying and engaging prospects through to closing and onboarding, targeting senior decision-makers across the FMCG and retail sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and win new business opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with both warm and cold prospects
- Lead consultative sales conversations to understand client challenges and align tailored solutions
- Manage a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and structured follow-ups
- Represent the organisation at industry events and networking forums
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery

About You
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a quota-carrying B2B sales role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience working with FMCG and/or retail clients
- Strong consultative selling skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
- Highly self-motivated, resilient and commercially astute
- Skilled at pipeline management and opportunity progression
- Excellent networking and relationship-building capabilities
