We’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to generate new business across multiple sectors, with a first-year sales target of £1m. You will focus on identifying the markets where you can win most effectively, build relationships with decision-makers, lead the full sales cycle and work closely with the internal bid team to secure tenders and contract awards.
Key responsibilities Prospect, qualify and close new business to achieve a first-year target of £1m. Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, tendering, proposal development, negotiations and mobilisation. Target multiple sectors and develop a focused sector approach aligned to commercial strengths. Collaborate with the dedicated bid team and operations to produce compliant, competitive submissions and ensure smooth mobilisation of wins. Manage client relationships and handover to operations to drive retention and growth.

Who we’re looking for Proven BDM/sales experience in facilities services, preferably with a strong background in cleaning; experience in maintenance and security is advantageous. Track record of winning and managing mid-to-large contracts and meeting clear sales targets. Strong commercial awareness, confident tender writer and skilled presenter to procurement and estates teams. Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable travelling across the UK to develop pipeline and meet clients. Full UK driving licence preferred.
