Business Development Manager – Sponsorship Partnerships

Legal, Professional Services & Technology Portfolio

Bournemouth or London | Hybrid

Up to £55,000 basic salary + uncapped OTE

Are you an accomplished sponsorship sales professional looking for a business where people genuinely build long-term careers?

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, independent events business with an exceptional reputation for the quality of its events, its commercial partnerships and, importantly, its culture.

The company has built an enviable record of retaining and developing talented people. Employees are trusted, supported and given the opportunity to take genuine ownership of their markets, rather than simply being measured on short-term transactional sales.

Working across the legal, accountancy, professional services and technology communities

You will develop high-value commercial partnerships with organisations looking to engage senior decision-makers through thought leadership, content, networking and year-round market engagement.

The opportunity

This is a strategic new-business role focused on developing relationships with technology providers, consultancies and specialist vendors selling into the legal, in-house legal, accountancy and wider professional services markets.

You will become a commercial specialist within your allocated sectors, building your own market presence, developing trusted senior-level relationships and identifying opportunities to significantly grow sponsorship revenue.

Rather than selling standard exhibition packages, you will work consultatively with clients to create tailored partnerships aligned with their business development, brand positioning and thought leadership objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
