The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for Business Development Manager's to join our team working within Sunbury, Kent, London, and Essex and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for an individual with a customer-focused can-do attitude, someone with a proven track record within a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building effective relationships with existing and new customers
  • Prospecting for new customers to secure maintenance contracts in accordance with annual targets.
  • Lead meetings and negotiations
  • Generating proposals and managing enquiries for service contracts
  • Expanding product knowledge, sourcing market and competitor information
  • Using your knowledge of the lifts and/or construction industry to negotiate skilfully to win concessions
  • Work closely with the regional service teams to retain our existing customer base
  • Recording activity through the Orona in-house management systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Able to sell contracts through the use of industry knowledge and excellent sales techniques.
  • Active Listening - Practices active listening, has the patience to listen to people and can accurately sum up what has been said.
  • Aims to build effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Has the self-confidence to be able to work with minimum supervision and be trusted to deliver work that is timely and accurate, right the first time.
  • Able to negotiate skilfully in tough situations, winning concessions without damaging relationships.
  • Commands attention and able to communicate through formal presentation settings, adjusting the delivery to reflect the specific audience
  • Clean UK driving licence (essential)
  • Right to Work in the UK (mandatory)

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Must have a clean UK drivers license
  • Experience within the lift or construction industry would be beneficial.
