About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established logistics provider. This role is pivotal in expanding the company's market presence and driving revenue growth through new business acquisition. The Business Development Manager will focus primarily on developing new clients within road freight and broader logistics services, including UK and European transport, groupage, full loads, part loads, warehousing, customs, and fulfillment solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy engaging with clients, and possess a strategic mindset to craft practical, efficient transport solutions tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications
- Proven track record in freight, logistics, or supply chain sales, with a strong background in B2B sales.
- Comprehensive understanding of road freight and logistics services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Confidence in engaging with decision-makers across various sectors such as manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams to achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across freight, transport, and logistics services, contributing to the company's growth objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust regional sales pipeline by prospecting and engaging potential clients across target sectors.
- Develop tailored transport and logistics solutions by understanding client requirements and coordinating with internal operations, customs, and commercial teams.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to establish long-term relationships and secure contracts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, managing all sales activities, pipeline, and reporting to ensure visibility and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to develop targeted sales campaigns and promotional activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
