About Power On
Power On, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Business Development Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this Role
Provide first class account management to existing customers, while building and maintaining relationships with potential customers, to maximise sales opportunities in designated area, ensuring that Power On is given the opportunity to quote for electricity, fibre, water, wastewater, and heat projects.
Work with colleagues in the sales function, and across the Group to ensure that the development of the business is focussed and effective.
Your Key Responsibilities Are
- Monitor own performance and work with the sales support team to proactively meet agreed objectives and ensure sales targets are met in line with required timescales.
- Follow up all leads self-discovered or allocated, following them through to conclusion.
- In conjunction with the sales support team, ensure that all proposals are prepared and submitted within agreed timeframes.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that all proposals are followed through to conclusion, including obtaining positive feedback.
- Monitor and keep abreast of competitor activity within designated sales territory.
- Work with the Sales Director, National Sales Manager, support and marketing teams to identify and secure new sales opportunities and to develop new products and services; including participation in Regional/National sales events.
- Work cross functionally with other department colleagues and group businesses to effectively aid the sales process and the customer journey.
- Assist the National Sales Manager in the development of greater efficiency within the company.
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Sales Director and/or National Sales Manager.

Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge
- Proven sales track record in business-to-business environment.
- Ability to sell a variety of technically based products and services.
Abilities/Skills
- Good negotiation and presentation skills.
Desirable
- Proven sales track record in the utilities industry.
Conditions of Employment
- You will hold a driving licence.
