About the Role

We are excited to offer a Business Development Manager position to join our Leeds team.

Reporting to the Business Manager, this role will focus on driving business growth across ITV’s portfolio of media & digital agencies, as well as their clients and creative agencies. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strategic customer partnerships through innovative approaches
  • Generating creative pitch ideas and negotiating trading deals/campaigns
  • Maximising revenue share into ITV and enhancing the company’s market reputation
  • Collaborating within the team to deliver groundbreaking ideas and identify new revenue streams

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on and ensure accountability for implementing the Business Plan
  • Drive revenue growth and strengthen ITV’s market reputation with assigned agencies/clients
  • Build strategic relationships with senior clients to drive incremental revenue and address declining accounts/issues
  • Provide real-time updates to the Business Manager on critical opportunities and challenges
  • Sell ITV’s commercial assets (Airtime & Multiplatform) across all avenues
  • Focus on growing revenue and improving ITV’s brand awareness
  • Partner closely with agencies and clients, helping them leverage ITV to achieve their business goals
  • Establish and enforce consistent messaging/behaviours across all offices
  • Maintain strong working relationships with:
    • Peer Business Development Managers
    • Managers in Partnerships, Trading & Activation teams
    • Group Managers across relevant departments
  • Offer a broad understanding of ITV’s diverse assets/engagement tactics
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key agency personnel:
    • Senior management
    • Media planners
    • Data & digital specialists
    • Buyers
    • Creative agency representatives
    • Priority clients (both via agencies and direct)

  • Explore new business opportunities, engaging lost/missing advertisers through targeted outreach and understanding agency-driven campaigns
  • Position ITV as a preferred cross-media advertising partner
  • Forecast performance and maintain rigorous accounting/reporting systems
  • Integrate platform opportunities into comprehensive business strategies

Skills & Requirements (Minimum)

  • Thorough knowledge of TV & multi-media industries
  • Strong insight into understanding agency/client goals, challenges, and industry opportunities
  • Proven ability to negotiate strong deals
  • Experience developing and executing an annual business plan that drives incremental revenue from:
    • Agency relationships
    • Priority client/campaigns
  • Ability to create and implement customized advertising/cross-media campaigns, tailored to client needs
  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and proven track record of individual/business targets
