Location: South Yorkshire and Derbyshire
Salary: £28,000 Per Annum + Uncapped Commission + Company Car
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

Our client, a well-established and expanding waste management and recycling business, is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join their commercial sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to:

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new commercial customers across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and neighbouring areas
- Working closely with businesses of all sizes, understanding their waste management requirements, and providing tailored solutions that deliver cost savings and environmental benefits
- Conducting a field-based role combining business development, client meetings, networking, and account management

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation
- Develop relationships with decision-makers across various commercial sectors
- Conduct site visits and customer meetings to assess waste management needs
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and quotations
- Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and update CRM systems accurately
- Work towards and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Build strong long-term relationships to improve customer retention and additional revenue opportunities
- Stay updated with industry developments and competitor activity

About You
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience in:
- Business Development
- Sales Executive
- Account Manager
- Field Sales
- New Business roles
- Proven ability to generate and win new business
- Strong skills in:
- Communication
- Negotiation
- Presentation
- A self-motivated, target-driven personality
- Comfortable managing your own diary and sales territory
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in waste management, recycling, facilities management, utilities, or B2B services is advantageous but not essential
