We are supporting our client with the search for a Business Development Manager to join their Aberdeen-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving growth across the subsea, defence, and offshore energy sectors. Working closely with senior leadership and the wider commercial team, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across both UK and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Support tender and proposal activities in collaboration with engineering and project teams
  • Monitor market trends and sector activity to inform business strategy
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Requirements:

  • Proven business development experience, ideally within the subsea, offshore, defence, or wider energy sectors
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel as required
