Business Development Manager

Plastic Moulding Solutions | UK (Home-Based)
Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE + 30% performance bonus + Electric company car or car allowance

The Opportunity

An opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to win and develop long-term manufacturing programmes with leading industrial OEMs across the UK.

The business specialises in advanced plastic moulding solutions, supplying engineered components into global industrial markets. Contracts are typically multi-year programmes, often supporting products throughout their lifecycle. Many run 5–10 years or longer, creating stable, long-term customer partnerships.

Working in a home-based role with national customer responsibility, you will have the autonomy to identify, develop and secure new UK manufacturing programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Winning new injection and blow moulding programmes with industrial manufacturers and OEMs
  • Developing relationships with engineering, procurement and programme teams
  • Identifying and developing new UK customers aligned with the company’s ideal customer profile
  • Managing the commercial relationship once programmes are secured
  • Growing revenue within selected existing customers

Sales cycles typically range from 3–12 months, with programme values increasing as projects move into full production.

What We’re Looking For

  • Sales or business development experience within plastic moulding, engineered components or manufacturing
  • A proven track record of winning new business
  • Experience selling into OEMs or industrial manufacturing organisations
  • Comfortable managing longer technical sales cycles
  • A commercially driven and proactive approach to building strategic customer relationships
