Business Development Manager

Our client is a highly regarded, and hugely respected contract hire brokerage, and they have been on an amazing journey. They are driven by principles, ethics, and values and have an enviable reputation in their marketplace for customer retention.

Evolving and continuously improving, they are looking for a proven B2B fleet sales professional to win contract hire business in the SME market and to manage and close inbound enquiries from business users.

Commission of circa £45,000, to £50,000 a year, over and above salary is being achieved in the team, who are all a great bunch of people.

The Role In a nutshell, based from the company's offices in Manchester, your role will be to find opportunities and to win business contract hire in the sub 200 vehicle marketplace, along with managing and converting inbound enquiries from business users.

You will need to:

Demonstrate a strong leasing customer base Align objectives with fleet decision makers and use great consultancy to find pain, solve problems and add value Manage your prospect and sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts Manage time effectively Achieve agreed, and sensible targets

About you

You must work in, know and understand the vehicle leasing market and be able to prove your success. You need to be the sort of person that loves the thrill of winning new accounts, gets a buzz from taking orders and who is consultative, organised and disciplined. You will be somebody who is naturally curious. Somebody who is unafraid to put hard yards into achieving success and somebody who loves the financial rewards that brings.

You need to demonstrate:

Experience of new business B2B selling in the leasing broker market That you can prove your work history and previous success A tenacious can-do attitude driven by a powerful WHY Great diary and time management The acumen required to understand a customers’ problems and challenges and relate those to solutions you can provide The ability and discipline manage a sales pipeline The discipline to record activity and forecast your business accurately The acumen to know when to “do a deal” and when to walk away The ability to close business Customer management skills that build solid relationships, for the customer, for our client and for you
