About the Team

The Research Management team sits at the heart of Jisc’s mission to support education and research for the public good. We design and deliver trusted data services, platforms, and community-led solutions—such as Open Policy Finder, Library Hub, and Equipment Data—helping research and library communities to thrive.

Our work enables institutions to make research more open, discoverable, and impactful. We support libraries and research offices in navigating complex policy and compliance landscapes, managing scholarly collections responsibly, and using data to inform decision-making across the research lifecycle.

By bringing together sector data, standards, and insight, we play a vital role in the wider research ecosystem.

Joining the team means:

  • Collaborating with universities, libraries, funders, and sector partners
  • Solving real-world challenges that matter to the research community
  • Contributing to services that deliver value not just to individual institutions, but to society as a whole

You’ll play a critical role in expanding the reach and adoption of Jisc’s services across academic and adjacent sectors.

You’ll take a consultative approach to sales, understanding complex customer needs, and positioning solutions that deliver real value. Managing your own pipeline, you’ll be confident working across a diverse product portfolio—leading demonstrations, responding to stakeholder requirements, and closing opportunities.

Key Aspects of the Role Include

  • Growing and nurturing strategic partnerships, while identifying new opportunities in emerging markets
  • Developing and delivering a targeted sales plan, underpinned by market insight and clear prioritization
  • Achieving commercial targets and supporting the long-term sustainability of the portfolio
  • Collaborating closely with product, marketing, and international partners to align activity and maximize impact

You’ll also act as a strong voice of the customer—bringing market insight back into the organization to inform product development and influence future direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
