Business Development Manager
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to generate new business and grow our commercial function. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, developing sales strategies, and building strong customer relationships across our target industries.
Working closely with the Company Director and senior management team, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base, building new and building on client relationships and achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective sales strategy alongside the Company Director and senior management team
- Generate new business opportunities across our target markets
- Identify key decision-makers using various research platforms and build strong commercial relationships.
- Promote and sell the company’s products and services to prospective clients.
- Analyse sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts.
- Research relevant exhibitions, trade shows and industry events to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Build relationships through proactive outbound calling and prospecting
- Identify, engage and convert prospective customers through multi-channel outreach including telephone, email and networking
- Present products and services professionally while identifying customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to convert qualified leads into long-term customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions within the CRM system.
- Follow up on enquiries generated through marketing campaigns, exhibitions and networking events.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in sales, business development or telesales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Confident making outbound sales calls
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers
- Fluent in English
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable
- Previous experience within the events industry.
- Experience using CRM software.
- Experience managing key customer accounts.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants must:
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Alcester, Warwickshire
- Be willing to travel and stay away from home when business requires.
