Business Development Manager – IT Services & Solutions
Location: Flexible within the UK (100% Remote) Salary: Negotiable + Bonus

Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our IT Services and Solutions offering across the UK, EMEA, and North America.
This role will focus on:
- Winning new business
- Managing, developing, and expanding existing client accounts
You will target and engage key client segments, including:
- System Integrators
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- IT Consulting firms
- Global Big Tech organisations
- Positioning tailored contractor hiring solutions to meet complex workforce demands.
The successful candidate will be a proven new business hunter within the staffing/agency industry, with a strong track record of securing contractor hiring engagements. You will adopt a consultative, solutions-led approach to selling, positioning workforce solutions across onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery models.
This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring expertise in:
- Building and managing short-, medium-, and long-term sales pipelines
- Navigating complex stakeholder environments
- Driving sustained revenue growth

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition
- Identify, target, and win new IT services and contractor workforce business across EMEA & UK, focusing on System Integrators, MSPs, IT Consulting, and Big Tech clients.

Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy aligned with regional growth targets and vertical opportunities.
- Build, manage, and convert a strong sales pipeline across varying time horizons.

Client Relationship Management
- Drive new client acquisition through outbound business development, networking, and strategic account targeting.
- Expand existing client accounts by identifying opportunities for service line growth and increasing contractor spend.

Sales & Consulting
- Position and sell tailored contractor solutions (onshore, nearshore, offshore resourcing models).
- Lead client engagements, including:
- Discovery sessions
- Solution design
- Proposals & commercial negotiations

Collaboration & Fulfillment
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful fulfilment and high client satisfaction.

Contract Negotiation & Reporting
- Negotiate commercial terms, MSAs, and service agreements for profitable, long-term partnerships.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and market insights to senior leadership.

Brand & Networking Representation
- Represent MarkJames Search at industry events, client meetings, and networking forums across EMEA.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven Track Record:
- Winning new IT & Services contractor business in a staffing/recruitment agency environment.
- Strong experience working with or selling into System Integrators, MSPs, IT consulting, and/or Big Tech.
