Business Development Manager – Airlines & Transport (Advertising)

Introduction to the Team

Expedia Group Advertising (EGA) helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more reach millions of travelers globally. We drive growth for our partners through a mixture of full funnel marketing opportunities both on our own sites and beyond.

Our EGA team works with travel and non-travel brands to connect them with high-intent audiences across our global portfolio of brands—including Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. Our airline and transport vertical team is a key growth area, helping partners across EMEA drive visibility, bookings, and brand awareness through our powerful media and advertising solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and develop a portfolio of EMEA-based airline and transport partners, serving as their primary point of contact for Expedia Group Advertising solutions
  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across the airlines vertical, and potentially expand into adjacent transport categories (e.g. car hire, cruise) as the opportunity develops
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers at airline marketing, media, commercial teams, and advertising agencies as needed across the EMEA region
  • Develop a deep understanding of airline partner objectives and translate these into compelling advertising proposals and media plans
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Ad Solutions, Account Management, Analytics, and Product to deliver high-quality, results-driven campaigns
  • Represent Expedia Group Advertising at industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings across the EMEA region
  • Accurately forecast and manage a sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback to inform the development of EMEA-specific advertising products and go-to-market strategies
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the airline vertical, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and best practices both internally and externally

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
