🚀 We’re Hiring: Business Development Manager – Battery Storage (UK)

📍 Location: East Cheshire (Hybrid)

💷 Salary: £55,000–£70,000 (dependent on experience) + Commission + Company Car + Pension

A fast-growing company operating in the battery storage and renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the UK market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and expanding market presence within the energy storage sector.

Based in East Cheshire, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a significant impact on the company’s UK growth strategy.

🔋 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, collaborations, and client relationships
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of battery storage projects and prospects
  • Engage with customers to understand their energy needs and present tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with technical, tendering, sales, and project teams to develop competitive proposals
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with clients, partners, and suppliers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Maintain CRM records and provide regular updates on sales activity and performance

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within battery storage, renewable energy, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and industry trends
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding commercial targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of margins and project economics
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a growing team
