We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team.


Position Overview

The Business Development Manager at Atrómitos plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable financial growth by expanding our client base and fostering lasting relationships. This position combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, developing and implementing an annual business development strategy that includes direct sales and competitive procurement opportunities.

As a key collaborator with the Atrómitos team, the Business Development Manager ensures alignment with Atrómitos’ mission of creating healthier, more resilient, and equitable communities. Additionally, this role oversees the Proposal Coordinator, guiding the competitive procurement process from opportunity identification to post-submittal analysis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy that prioritizes financial growth and positive client relationships, includes a roadmap for growth, and aids in shaping broader organizational strategy through market insights and business intelligence.
  • Align business development strategies with the company’s mission to create healthier, more resilient, and more equitable communities. This requires focusing on safety net healthcare providers and human services organizations.
  • Actively engage with past, current, and prospective clients to establish, build, and maintain positive, trustworthy, professional relationships and analyze the effectiveness of existing markets, business relationships, and critical tools.
  • Conduct market research on prospective growth areas, competitive markets, and industry trends, including prospective clients and Atrómitos’ services in ways that align with or predict client needs.
  • Effectively convert business development leads to fully executed contracts that align with company goals, policies, and guidelines and that optimize profitability and market share.
  • Engage in business development activities, including networking events and conferences, to generate new leads and opportunities, interact with clients, and respond to important inquiries about the company’s services.
  • Collaborate with all members of the Atrómitos team, including leadership.
  • Review contracts to ensure they meet the scope of work commitments made to the client.
  • Regularly review and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage a customer relationship management system (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Engage in professional development for ongoing learning related to business trends, sector innovations, and market forecasting.
  • Oversee the Bid and Proposal Coordinator.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in market dynamics, business strategy, and client relationship management, with a required focus on the health and human services sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and networking skills, focusing on building long-term partnerships, as well as project management, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, market analysis tools, and business development platforms.
  • Individual drive, integrity, and self-motivation.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or a related health and human services field.
  • Proven experience as a business development manager.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fully remote, flexible, multi-time-zone environment with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully managing direct reports in a fully remote work environment that utilizes an open work schedule across multiple time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salaried, exempt, full-time position.
  • Annual salary is $75,000.
  • Bi-weekly payroll.
