Role Description This is a full-time, Business Development Manager role based in Glasgow. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and manage a pipeline of prospects, and develop long-term relationships with customers across Aspire’s core solution areas. The role involves conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals and presentations, coordinating with technical and delivery teams, and negotiating contracts to close deals. The successful candidate will monitor market trends, contribute to sales strategy, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting. This role also includes attending customer meetings on-site, representing Aspire at industry events, and ensuring a high standard of customer experience throughout the sales cycle. Qualifications Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within IT, managed services, or related technology sectors. Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, and consultative selling. Ability to understand and articulate solutions related to managed IT, cloud, connectivity, cyber security, and unified communications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels. Strong analytical and planning capabilities, including experience with CRM tools and sales reporting. Ability to self-manage and priorities workload. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with technical, marketing, and customer success teams. Knowledge of the UK technology market and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is highly beneficial.
