About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be directly responsible for targeting new occupier clients and prospects, building solid relationships, and offering the entire range of FM products and services. The focus of the team is to target UK clients that the business does not currently have established relationships with and to convert them into revenue-generating clients. The team focuses on a defined list of target occupiers, working closely with many market-leading teams and subject matter experts (SME's) to win new revenue-generating business. Target clients for this role will specifically come from within existing relationships held by our Facilities Management businesses. There will also be a focus on working with new opportunities and a list of target clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • To win new business. This will be achieved by identifying, building, and managing an active pipeline of opportunities, covering everything from one-off business to full-service accounts.
  • This is a pure sales role, the successful candidate will not be required to execute the new business. This will be undertaken by the SME's; however, the candidate will be required to build and maintain a deep understanding of all service lines within the company and build deep internal relationships across the business.
  • The candidate will effectively manage multiple, simultaneous client opportunities through fostering solid relationships with clients directly and multiple stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Once The Work Is Won, The Candidate Will Ensure a Seamless Transition Of Client Responsibility To An Account Director As Appropriate. The Candidate Will Also Need To
  • Define and articulate a compelling value proposition and to influence clients at the highest levels.
  • Have oversight of the production of exceptional pitches, tender documents, and presentations, in line with company standards.
  • Provide regular and accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Achieve assigned team revenue generation, win, and pitch success targets.
  • Achieve other business development objectives defined by company management.
  • Raise the company and business profile by representing business at industry events, high-level networking, and promoting an image of professionalism at all times.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
  • Attend monthly sales reviews to ensure they are fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities.
  • Ensure that appropriate sign-offs are understood and adhered to when considering new business opportunities.

Experience Required

  • Experience in Business Development, preferably from within the Real Estate industry.
  • Experienced and proven effectiveness at supporting clients and managing projects.
  • Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the ability to network at a high level and build strong business relationships (internally and externally).
