Business Development Manager

Our client is a pioneer in the infrastructure safety sector and provides critical monitoring solutions to effectively detect abnormalities, functionality flaws, and health in an array of civil structures, keeping the population and environment protected. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to manage and drive revenue within the United Kingdom.

Job Description

  • Increase revenue volume by defending and growing market share, identifying, and developing new business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of the company and its brands.
  • Accountable for reaching KPI targets and the growth of revenue regionally and will manage the sales activities of the UK Geotechnics sales team.
  • Take full responsibility for the development and management of a pipeline of tendering opportunities for the Geotechnics business to deliver the forecast budget.
  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system ensuring that it represents the most accurate forecast possible.
  • Take full responsibility for providing data on market trends & price points (for both purchases and sales).
  • Identify opportunities that enable early involvement of the customer buying process, systematic and proactive sales, while presenting value-added solutions with the company’s offering and capability.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, or new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing markets.
  • Promotion of the brand by attending industry events and networking, taking stands at exhibitions, and presenting at conferences, cold calling, and responding to incoming leads, and generating leads for regional sales teams. Nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts. Attend face-to-face meetings with clients, designers, and asset owners, advise on products and services.
  • The work environment includes business office, with a requirement to visit clients nationally.

  • Ideally BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field along with 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience within the Construction Industry, or vocational equivalent.
  • Strong sales track record with a consistent background of winning new business.
  • Knowledge of Geotechnics.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing business development and sales strategies.
