Observatory is a creative studio specializing in immersive visual experiences for live events, broadcast, and spatial environments. The team collaborates with event producers, agencies, and brands to design and deliver content for custom LED systems, projection mapping, XR, and live performance visuals. Combining design-led aesthetics with deep technical expertise, Observatory produces work that is visually distinctive and highly reliable in high-pressure settings. Led by a senior creative team and supported by scalable production capabilities, the studio delivers immersive experiences across music, culture, sport, and large-scale brand events. Role Description
This is a full-time Business Development Manager role based in Greenwich, operating on a hybrid model with a blend of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with agencies, brands, and event producers, and manage a pipeline of prospects across music, culture, sport, and brand experiences. - Leading outreach campaigns
- Attending client meetings and industry events
- Preparing and delivering tailored pitches
- Collaborating with the creative and production teams to shape compelling proposals

The role also involves:
- Negotiating terms
- Supporting contract discussions
- Tracking performance against revenue targets
- Providing market insights to help refine Observatory’s service offering
The successful candidate will act as a key ambassador for the studio, representing Observatory’s capabilities and values in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within creative studios, live events, broadcast, experiential, or related industries.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders at agencies, brands, and production partners.
- Proven track record of managing a sales pipeline, forecasting revenue, and meeting or exceeding commercial targets.
- Ability to understand and articulate creative and technical solutions (e.g., immersive visuals, LED systems, projection mapping, XR) in a clear and compelling way for clients.
- Skilled in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and presentations, and tailoring value propositions to different sectors and client needs.
- Highly organized, with strong planning, follow-up, and CRM skills to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with creative, production, and leadership teams in Greenwich and remotely.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient, with a solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team culture.
- Familiarity with live events, broadcast workflows, or experiential marketing is highly beneficial; understanding of visual production processes is
