Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager – Bracknell, Berkshire
Our client is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join their team in Bracknell. If you thrive on building relationships, closing complex sales opportunities, and driving growth in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Our client is seeking a motivated sales professional with proven experience in B2B account development and closing new business. You’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle—prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities—while building long-term customer relationships and contributing to the growth of their business.
Key responsibilities of the role
Sales & Account Planning Achieve revenue and margin targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual base Create and maintain documented account development plans Proactively identify and target customers in collaboration with marketing and other teams Build tailored sales approaches for specific accounts and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities Provide accurate forecasting by effectively progressing opportunities through the sales cycle

Customer Engagement & Satisfaction Build and maintain effective relationships with existing and prospective customers Promote and sell additional services to new and existing clients Maintain a detailed knowledge of customer objectives and key stakeholders Manage customer expectations throughout the sales and delivery process Escalate issues and coordinate internal resources to meet customer needs
Bid & Proposal Management Work closely with pre-sales, delivery, and support teams to prepare winning proposals Coordinate virtual bid teams to deliver high-quality tenders on time Fully qualify accounts to ensure customer requirements are addressed throughout the sales process Take ownership of assigned opportunities, whether managed directly or through a bid team

About you
Bachelor’s degree At least 2 years of experience in business development or account management within SaaS, CX, IT, or telecoms Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding sales targets Experience with CRM systems or similar tools Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills Skilled in consultative sales techniques and able to adapt approach to different audiences Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail Experience selling into specific verticals such as utilities or healthcare is desirable
