About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time, office-based basis in the London area.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Promoting Deluxe Staffing Limited’s recruitment services across a variety of sectors

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Opportunity Identification:
- Identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities.

Client Engagement & Sales:
- Arranging and conducting client meetings, presentations, and sales pitches.
- Preparing commercial proposals and negotiating terms to secure new business.

Account Management:
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships through excellent account management.
- Ensuring client requirements are fully understood and successfully delivered in collaboration with recruitment and operations teams.

Sales & Performance Monitoring:
- Monitoring sales performance and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Reporting on key performance metrics and contributing to business development strategies.

Market & Competitive Awareness:
- Staying updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity.

Representation & Networking:
- Professionally representing the company at networking events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven experience in:
- Business development, sales, and account management
- Growing client portfolios within a B2B environment
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Confidence in engaging senior decision-makers and demonstrating value proposition
- Previous experience in:
- Recruitment, staffing, or HR services
- Understanding workforce trends and recruitment challenges
- Strong commercial awareness, including:
- Analysing market opportunities
- Developing strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Technical competence in:
- CRM systems
- Microsoft Office applications (managing sales pipelines, activity tracking, reporting)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to:
- Manage multiple priorities
- Work independently in a dynamic environment
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related discipline
- OR equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of the London and wider UK business landscape preferred.
