Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE +Commission Location: Hybrid – Central London

Ark is recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised events organisation that connects leaders, innovators, and decision makers across some of the world’s most dynamic industries, including aviation, transport, energy, life sciences, and technology. Renowned for delivering market defining conferences and exhibitions on an international scale, they create industry leading platforms that spark innovation, inspire ideas, build meaningful connections, and drive commercial growth.

As they continue to expand their high growth Travel portfolio, they are now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving revenue and expanding market reach, and shaping the future of this exciting division.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving commercial growth and expanding the client portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

Selling exhibition space and securing sponsorship agreements across a portfolio of international events Proactively identifying new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships Creating bespoke partnership solutions aligned to client goals and brand objectives Building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and key industry figures Taking a consultative, solutions-led approach to sales Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of campaigns and partnerships Representing the business at both UK and international events

About You You’re a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships and closing deals in a consultative B2B environment.

Ideally 2+ years’ experience in sponsorship, exhibition, or event sales (B2B media sales or recruitment backgrounds also considered) Demonstrated success in new business development and account growth Strong understanding of solution-based selling techniques Experience within events, exhibitions, or related industries is advantageous Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast paced, target driven environment.
