Business Development Manager

You’re at your best when there’s something to go after. New logos. New conversations. Real problems to solve. You know the UK construction market, you understand how buyers think, and you enjoy building a case around clear commercial value.

This Business Development Manager role is all about new business. You’ll take ownership of your patch, open doors, run consultative sales conversations, and sell a construction technology solution with a strong ROI story behind it. It suits someone competitive, resilient, and confident enough to create momentum rather than wait for it.

There’s a clear path to strong performance once you’re up to speed, with plenty of room to grow as the market expands. For someone ambitious, commercially sharp, and motivated by winning, this is the kind of role where you can make your mark quickly.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?

Our client is continuously making headlines in the construction technology market. They leverage emerging technologies that enable their customers to accelerate project delivery - including 3D collaboration platforms and machine learning. They're also keen to switch up the status-quo when it comes to their work environment: they prioritise a culture of empathy, compassion and trust, where both your talent and quality of life will be supported.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
