Business Development Manager - PepsiCo (Away From Home Channel)

About the Role

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum + up to 15% bonus opportunity + Company Car
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
  • Location: Southampton, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas

About the Opportunity: Powerforce is recruiting a Business Development Manager to lead on the Away From Home (AFH) channel, covering Contract Catering, Leisure, Sport, and Multi-Site customers. You’ll represent globally recognised PepsiCo brands, driving growth in Away From Home through partnerships and exploratory opportunities in the Snacks and Grains portfolio.

This role is for a driven, opportunity-spotting problem-solver who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments where performance, innovation and teamwork determine success. PepsiCo values ambition and agility—someone who takes initiative and delivers measurable impact.


The Role: Key Responsibilities

  • Build Relationships: Establish and nurture strong partnerships within the Away From Home channel, boosting revenue through increased visibility and distribution.
  • Unlock Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing client accounts by understanding and addressing their needs.
  • Execute Strategy: Deliver commercially focused recommendations, activate promotions, and facilitate successful new product launches.
  • Influence with Data: Leverage data and insights to shape customer decisions and support category-wide growth.
  • Manage Your Territory: Balance prospecting efforts with accurate reporting and digital recording to ensure full coverage of your geographical area.

What You’ll Bring

PepsiCo Powerforce are looking for someone with:

  • Commercial Curiosity: A proactive, solution-driven mindset committed to tangible impact.
  • Resilience & Confidence: The ability to build rapid trust, adapt quickly to evolving priorities, and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Relevant Experience in business development, field sales or account management—preferably in foodservice or FMCG.
  • Competitive Drive: Strong organisation skills, territory management acumen, and a winners’ mentality.
  • Strategic Thinking: Track-record of delivering consistent sales growth through insightful, target-driven recommendations.
  • Essential Requirement: A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
