Business Development Manager

Who are we?

Seloxium Limited is a specialist precious metal recovery business, working with mining operations to recover high-value materials from waste streams. We are a fast-paced company at an exciting stage of development, scaling our operations across two sites — an R&D laboratory and back office function in Oxford and a pilot processing plant in the North East of England. As we grow, we are looking for a commercially aware, driven and credible Business Development Manager to join our team.

This mid-level role supports the CCO, sits within the commercial function and is central to expanding Seloxium's market presence across global markets in the chemical and engineering sectors.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially experienced professional with a background in the chemical or engineering industries to play a pivotal role in driving Seloxium's business growth. You will develop and execute business development strategies, identify new market opportunities, and build lasting client relationships on a global stage.

This is a commercial role with strategic influence. You will be responsible for working alongside the CCO in identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities, while also nurturing and growing existing client relationships. Reporting directly to the CCO, you will act as a trusted deputy — stepping in to lead the commercial function when required and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

This role suits someone who is equally comfortable presenting to C-suite executives as they are rolling up their sleeves to progress a deal from first contact to signed contract.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
