Business Development Manager - Bristol | Hybrid Working | £50,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (£90,000+ OTE)
Our client is a well-established technology solutions provider operating at the premium end of their market. Partnering with organisations across both the private and public sectors, they deliver bespoke solutions to complex business challenges. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
The Role
- This is a consultative new business role focused on identifying opportunities, engaging senior decision-makers and developing long-term customer relationships.
- You'll be responsible for generating new opportunities, running discovery conversations, mapping stakeholders and managing complex sales processes through to completion.
- This is not a transactional sales environment. Customers are investing in outcomes, not products, and success comes from understanding business challenges and developing the right solution with the support of technical specialists.
- Alongside new business activity, you'll inherit a small portfolio of existing customers, providing immediate opportunities for growth and relationship development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
