Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy (Able to Pay)

£60,000–£70,000 DOE, plus excellent bonus potential
Hours
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Heatforce is one of Wales' leading renewable energy businesses, helping homeowners and organisations reduce energy costs and carbon emissions through innovative heating, solar and low-carbon technologies.
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our Able to Pay division. This is a true business development role focused on identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships and increasing revenue across domestic and commercial renewable energy markets.

What You'll Be Doing
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing new revenue streams and expanding Heatforce's presence across the renewable energy sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across domestic and commercial markets.
- Developing strategic partnerships within a variety of sectors.
- Growing sales of renewable energy solutions including heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage and energy-efficient heating systems.
- Building and managing a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract completion.
- Creating and delivering business development strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Managing key customer relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
- Working closely with marketing to generate high-quality leads and maximise market opportunities.
- Collaborating with operational teams to ensure an excellent customer journey from enquiry through to installation.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify future growth opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales reporting.

While you'll provide guidance and support to the telesales function, this role is primarily focused on commercial growth rather than people management.
About You
We're looking for someone who is naturally commercial, highly motivated and passionate about developing new business.
You'll ideally have:
- A proven track record of winning new business and delivering revenue growth.
- Experience selling renewable energy, heating, construction, utilities or technical solutions.
- Strong B2B business development experience, with exposure to B2C markets being advantageous.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
- Experience negotiating and closing high-value commercial opportunities.
- The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of renewable technologies including heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage or wider decarbonisation solutions would be highly desirable.
