The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, consultants, developers, and key stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and supporting the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within our sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, developers, architects, consultants, Care-homes, schools, and local authorities.
- Generate and manage a pipeline of projects across target sectors.
- Attend networking events, industry exhibitions, and client meetings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
- Support tender submissions and bid strategies alongside estimating and operational teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, client interactions, and forecasts through CRM systems.
- Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship role within the construction/facilities management/fenestration industry.
- Strong understanding of construction procurement routes and project lifecycles.
- Established network of contacts within the construction sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented approach.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
- Experience working for a main contractor, specialist contractor, or construction consultancy.
- Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes.
- Experience using CRM and business development reporting systems.
