Your sales skills belong here — whatever industry you're coming from. If you know how to open doors, build relationships, and close deals, we want to talk. At Leyton, we're not looking for someone who's already worked in tax or finance — we're looking for someone who's brilliant at winning new business and ready to do something genuinely meaningful with that talent. We help UK businesses claim the government-backed funding they're already entitled to — through R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and other innovation incentives. It's a compelling, consultative sale with real impact, and our Manchester team is growing.
What you'll be doing
You'll own your pipeline from prospecting to close — identifying opportunities, getting in front of the right decision-makers (think CFOs, Finance Directors, and MDs), and bringing new clients on board. Once you've won the business, you'll hand off to our expert delivery team, so you can focus on what you do best: selling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
