Job Description
Join a pioneering leader in infection prevention and control as a Business Development Manager – Capital Equipment for the North of England. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of innovative healthcare solutions within NHS trusts and private healthcare providers, driving long-term growth and impactful change.
Bring your expertise in sales, particularly within healthcare or technical environments, and your passion for building lasting customer relationships. Your strong communication skills, strategic approach, and ability to manage complex sales cycles will be key to success. Knowledge of infection control, microbiology, or related sciences is highly valued, alongside 3-5 years of proven sales performance targeting NHS stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements Include
- Proven sales experience (3-5 years) within healthcare, infection control, or technical environments, with a strong track record of closing high-value deals (£20k-£100k+).
- Knowledge of NHS procurement processes and operational standards, including SOP development and implementation.
- Preferably, a degree in a science or technology discipline; equivalent industry experience is also acceptable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders from clinical staff to procurement teams.
- Strong understanding of infection control, microbiology, or related fields (highly desirable).
- Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain technical competence in product demonstrations, training, and embedded customer support.
- Self-motivated, resilient, with a consultative, patient-focused sales approach aligned with healthcare values.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles, conduct effective on-site demonstrations and training, and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Based in or near the North of England, willing to travel across the region and Scotland as needed.
