Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site/office role based in London. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and expanding the company’s presence in key markets. - Prospecting and qualifying leads
- Preparing and delivering proposals and presentations
- Collaborating with operational teams to ensure bids are aligned with project capabilities and pricing strategies
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform business plans and sales strategies
- Attending client meetings, industry events, and site visits as needed
- Maintaining accurate records in CRM tools
- Reporting regularly on pipeline, revenue forecasts, and performance against targets

Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within construction, demolition, Groundworks, or related industrial services.
- Strong skills in relationship building, client communication, and stakeholder management, with the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
- Experience in preparing proposals, tenders, and bid documents, including coordination with technical and operational teams.
- Ability to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and develop practical growth strategies and sales plans.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working on-site and collaborating with project teams, including attending client meetings and site visits across London.
- Relevant education or training in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field is beneficial.
- Knowledge of UK construction and demolition industry practices, regulations, and health and safety considerations is an advantage.
