Role Description
The Business Development Manager – Cleaning will be responsible for growing Wise-K9’s cleaning services portfolio, primarily within security-focused environments. This full-time, on-site role, based in Lightwater, involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective and existing clients, and developing proposals and service packages that align with client needs. The role includes collaborating with operations teams to ensure cleaning services meet quality and compliance standards, monitoring contract performance, and seeking opportunities for upselling and cross-selling related services. The manager will conduct market research, track sales metrics, prepare regular reports for leadership, and represent Wise-K9 at meetings, site visits, and industry events. Day-to-day activities also include negotiating terms, managing a sales pipeline, and contributing to strategic planning for service expansion.

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in cleaning, facilities management, or related service industries.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop practical growth strategies.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfort working on-site in Lightwater, conducting site visits, and engaging directly with clients and internal teams.
- Understanding of cleaning operations, service standards, and basic health and safety requirements is an advantage.
- Proficiency in common business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software).
- Relevant education in business, management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a professional, security-conscious environment.
