Remuneration

  • Competitive basic salary: ~£50,000
  • Overtime earning potential (OTE): £75,000+ (Uncapped commission structure)

The Opportunity

An established and growing facilities support services provider seeks an ambitious Business Development Manager to accelerate new business growth across London and the South East.

Our business delivers critical commercial cleaning and facilities management services to a diverse customer base, including:

  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Commercial offices
  • Leisure facilities
  • Multi-site environments

Backed by a strong service reputation and a high volume of inbound enquiries, this role offers an ideal balance of lead conversion and proactive business growth.

The Role

Reporting to senior sales leadership, you’ll drive the identification, nurturing, and conversion of new business opportunities—sealing commercial contracts that expand our regional portfolio.

    • Build and sustain a pipeline of high-value, qualified opportunities.

  • Prospecting & Relationship Development

    • Actively generate leads through targeted prospecting, networking, and client outreach.
    • Capitalise on in-house leads to ensure a steady flow of inbound enquiries.
  • Client Engagement

    • Schedules and conducts client meetings and site surveys.
    • Produces customised service proposals and competitive quotes.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closing

    • Leder commercial negotiations, overcoming objections to secure contracts.
    • Own the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract award.
  • Operational Collaboration

    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts.
  • Market Inteligence

    • Monitor sector trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to refine strategy.
  • Performance Tracking

    • Maintain visibility of pipeline health and business development KPIs.

Candidate Profile

We’re seeking a commercial sales professional with proven expertise in selling service-based solutions to businesses.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record in business development and commercial sales.
  • Service-selling experience rather than transactional product sales.
  • Wins and management of multi-s旗-tier contracts (paid volume of £N+).
  • Strong proficiency in propecting, networking, and lead generation.
  • Ability to conduct commercial negotiations, site visits, and client presentations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a disciplined, target-driven mindset.

Preferred experience:

  • Sales into education, healthcare, commercial offices, or public sector clients.
