Business Development Manager Location: Flexible / UK Wide Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Company Car/Allowance Industry: Construction Reference: BDM-UK-DB

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer within the building envelope sector, is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of their composite panel division across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of developing business within the construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving specification and sales activity, building relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying new opportunities across a range of market sectors. The role will involve working closely with architects, contractors, developers, and distribution partners to increase market share and strengthen the company's position as a leading supplier of composite panel solutions.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive sales growth across the designated territory. Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction and building envelope markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, specifiers, main contractors, subcontractors, developers, and key industry stakeholders. Promote the company's composite panel product range through presentations, meetings, and technical discussions. Generate specifications and manage projects through the sales pipeline from inception to completion. Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to provide customers with tailored solutions. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project activity, and sales forecasts within the CRM system. Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness and generate leads. Deliver against sales targets and agreed business objectives.

Key Skills & Experience Previous experience within a Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, or Specification Sales role. Experience selling into the construction sector, ideally within building envelope, roofing, cladding, façades, insulation, or associated products. Strong understanding of the specification sales process. Proven ability to develop relationships and generate new business opportunities. Commercially aware with excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working autonomously. Strong communication and presentation skills. Full UK Driving Licence.
