Topcon is looking for a motivated and committed professional to join our Construction Sales Unit as a:
Business Development Manager Construction
Job location: Remote, based in one of the European countries.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving the growth of Topcon’s Construction Laser Tools business across Europe, with a strong focus on laser tools distribution channels. The successful candidate will combine sales leadership, technical knowledge, and market expertise to support regional sales teams, strengthen distributor performance, and actively look for new distribution channels in EMEA.

The role will support direct and distribution sales channels across the region, working closely with a team of specialists to provide sales expertise, technical insight, and strong industry knowledge.
Core Job Duties
- Manage and develop the Construction Laser Tools business area, overseeing regional sales activity and supporting revenue growth.
- Work with specialist team members to support local Topcon sales teams and nominated distributors.
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen Construction Laser Tools knowledge across Topcon sales teams and distributor partners.
- Provide technical and commercial expertise during customer negotiations, product demonstrations, and sales opportunities across the region.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to maximize market share and ensure customer needs are fully understood and addressed.
- Identify strategic partnerships with organizations, institutions, software partners, and other channels that can expand market reach and create new business opportunities.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Strong background in selling and sales management.
- Proven experience selling products and services directly to end users and through third-party distributors.
- 7–10 years of sales management experience within Construction Laser Tools or a closely related construction technology segment.
- In-depth understanding of the European mass distribution market, including regulatory frameworks, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Experience managing a team of product sales specialists.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate direct and indirect teams to deliver sales performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of market pressures and the commercial dynamics that influence sales performance.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to translate strategy into daily operational execution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Technical expertise in Construction Laser Tools and the related industry sector.
- A broad professional network that can be leveraged to strengthen and expand Topcon’s presence in the Mass Distribution market.
- Extensive experience preparing and delivering technical and sales presentations to different audiences and forums.
The selected candidate should be living in, and legally resident in, one of the European countries.
