Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics
Location: Crick (with UK travel)
Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
We’re looking for Business Development Managers to join our growing commercial team at XPO. The role is focused on winning new business across key sectors which would include Retail, Grocery, FMCG, Drinks, Ecommerce and Automotive. We are looking for strong sales individuals with a proven track record in any of these sectors. You’ll take ownership of the full sales lifecycle — from identifying opportunities through to tender and contract award. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll build strong, consultative relationships with customers and develop solutions that deliver real value.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business opportunities across target sectors
- Build and develop relationships with key decision makers
- Lead customer discussions to understand requirements and challenges
- Manage RFQs, tenders and longer sales cycles end-to-end
- Develop tailored logistics solutions with pricing, operations and design teams
- Create and present compelling commercial proposals
- Maintain a strong pipeline and deliver against revenue targets
- Act as the voice of the customer internally to support continuous improvement

About You
- Proven experience in business development within a 3PL / logistics environment is essential
- Strong track record of winning new business
- Experience across sectors such as, Retail, Grocery, FMCG, Drinks, Ecommerce or Automotive
- Comfortable managing tenders and complex sales processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware, driven and results-focused
- Collaborative and able to work across multiple internal teams
