Business Development Manager
Location: Home-based/remote (with mandatory attendance for monthly/quarterly meetings in Manchester, Croydon, and Tewkesbury, plus client meetings/events across the UK) Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum + Performance Bonus Scheme Status: Permanent Work Hours: Mon–Fri (37.5 hrs)

About the Role
We’re expanding and need an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales strategies, target intermediary markets (including large corporates, insurers), and grow our client base. This role offers uncapped commission potential and the chance to shape HCML’s future in occupational health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities from prospecting to sale, hitting revenue targets.
- Leverage sector expertise to create and execute high-impact sales strategies, boosting HCML’s market share.
- Build profitable relationships through deliberate internal/external communication and negotiation.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistent corporate healthcare messaging for new business.
- Assist the Bid Manager with tenders—from proposal writing to presentations.
- Work with operations to align new client needs with service delivery.
- Attend client meetings, conferences, and trade shows as required.
- Represent HCML at external events.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- 5+ years in corporate healthcare sales.
- Expertise in the Private Healthcare Market, with occupational health-specific knowledge.
Desirable
- Recent experience in a similar role with deep industry insight.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth through new business development.
- Confident Microsoft Office proficiency (focusing on pipeline and sales reporting).
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics for reporting.
