About NVD
A family-owned business, established in 1980, NVD was set up to assist vehicle manufacturers in the timely and incident-free distribution of their products. We’ve established ourselves as a one-stop shop providing the three main pillars of outbound logistics, including transporting, storing, and enhancing our customers’ vehicles, prior to delivery to their end location.
Since 1980, NVD has been at the forefront of pioneering the digitisation of the FVL industry. As early adopters of emerging technology, we have introduced huge efficiencies saving time and money for our customers. Our unwavering commitment to progress and continual service improvement remains at the heart of our business today.
The Role
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join the NVD UK sales team. You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts that own and operate their own LCV and passenger car fleets to run their business, with a primary focus on facilities management, property services, and other corporate sectors where NVD does not yet have an established presence.
Alongside winning new accounts, this role also has a partnership development remit, identifying logistics operators, port service providers, and supply chain businesses where NVD's capabilities can be embedded into their own service offering, opening new and diversified routes to revenue beyond direct account sales. As the business and team grow, you may also be asked to support other customer verticals or take on additional accounts outside your primary focus.
What You Will Be Doing
Business Development & Growth
- Proactively identifying and winning new business across:
- Corporate fleet operators
- Facilities management businesses
- Other sectors with significant LCV usage
- Building a pipeline largely from cold outreach

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
