Business Development Manager – Defence
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK Defence and National Security sector.
Whether you're transitioning from the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, MOD or have built your career in Defence Business Development, this is an opportunity to use your experience, network and commercial skills to support some of the UK's most critical programmes.
Working with advanced security technology, you'll identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships and help shape solutions for Defence and Government customers across the UK and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Defence and Government sectors.
- Build and manage strategic customer and partner relationships.
- Develop and execute business development campaigns to generate new opportunities.
- Research market trends, competitor activity and emerging programmes.
- Work closely with technical and product teams to develop customer solutions.
- Manage opportunities from qualification through to contract award.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM.
- Achieve pipeline, sales and revenue targets.

Essential Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Business Development, Defence Sales or Capture.
- Military background (Army, Royal Navy, RAF or other Armed Forces) or experience selling into Defence.
- Strong understanding of the UK Defence landscape and procurement environment.
- Existing relationships across MOD, Defence, Government or Defence Primes would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Eligible to obtain or hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
