Job Title: Business Development Manager
About the Opportunity:
At Ascensia Diabetes Care, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and expand market share across the territory. In this role, you will build strong partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders, identify and secure access opportunities, and execute commercial strategies that increase product adoption. You will act as a trusted partner to customers, leveraging your market expertise to deliver business objectives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What you will do:
- Deliver annual sales targets for the territory, including volume and market share, by promoting the Contour blood glucose meter portfolio across primary and secondary care.
- Build and lead partnerships with key NHS stakeholders such as ICBs, hospitals, PCNs and GP surgeries, developing strong relationships with decision makers, influencers and KOLs.
- Maximise formulary access opportunities to secure recommendations for Ascensia products, creating and executing effective account coverage plans.
- Execute marketing strategies in the field using approved materials, claims and messaging to drive product recommendation and usage.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Ascensia portfolio, disease area and healthcare landscape while acting professionally, meeting customer expectations and ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and codes of conduct.
What you need for success:
- Sales experience in a revenue-generating role, with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding targets is required.
- Relevant degree (e.g., science, nursing, business, marketing) or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Proven ability to manage and grow customer accounts, specifically: building and maintaining stakeholder relationships; delivering against sales or account growth targets; identifying and converting new opportunities within existing accounts; and developing and executing account plans is required.
- Demonstrable commercial experience in a customer-facing or revenue-generating role within a healthcare or life sciences environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare sales environment (e.g., Diabetes, Medical Devices, Pharma, Diagnostics), including stakeholder mapping, procurement processes, and regulatory considerations a plus.
- High level of resilience and a goal-oriented mindset, with strong accountability for delivering measurable results.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory is required.
