What You Need to Know

Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a passion for renewable energy and a talent for building strategic relationships? Do you thrive on opening new markets, influencing major industry stakeholders and delivering growth through innovative technology?

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to lead the commercial growth of our ECG™ holistic cable monitoring system within the rapidly expanding offshore wind sector.

This is a pioneering role where you'll help shape the future of condition monitoring technology, working with some of the world's leading engineering, procurement, construction (EPCI) contractors and cable OEMs. You'll play a key role in driving market adoption, influencing buying decisions and supporting the continued evolution of our technology through customer insight.

This role offers flexible working and can be based anywhere within the UK. However, you will be expected to travel regularly to Proserv locations (Great Yarmouth, Aberdeen or Glasgow, as well as customer sites and industry events, to support collaboration, business development activities and relationship management. Flexibility to travel, including occasional international travel where required, is essential.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the promotion and market adoption of our ECG™ holistic cable monitoring system within the offshore wind sector.
  • Develop and grow strategic relationships with key EPCI contractors, cable OEMs and other industry stakeholders across the UK and Europe.
  • Identify, map and influence decision-makers, technical stakeholders and procurement teams throughout the customer buying journey.
  • Develop account strategies that maximise opportunities and convert prospects into long-term business partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Develop strategic technical and commercial plans that influence customer adoption and support long-term market growth.
  • Support the preparation of high-quality bids, tenders and commercial proposals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and commercial teams during negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry conferences, exhibitions and technical seminars.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, customer visit reports and business development forecasts.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Provide valuable customer and market feedback to influence future product development and strategic direction.

Preferred

  • Proven success in a business-to-business business development or sales role.
  • Experience establishing and managing strategic partnerships, framework agreements and long-term commercial relationships.
  • Strong experience supporting multiple bids, tenders and commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to develop, communicate and execute strategic sales growth plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling way.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and internationally.

Desirable

  • Experience within subsea cable systems, offshore renewables or distributed sensing technologies.
  • An established network of contacts across offshore wind developers, EPCI contractors and cable OEMs within the UK and European markets.
