Business Development Manager - Electronic Security / CCTV
Business Development Manager – Integrated Security (BDM) – UK & Ireland
About the Role
We are seeking a driven, commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our global leader in integrated security and business management solutions. The successful candidate will help shape the growth of our team by driving new business acquisition and managing relationships with installers, integrators, partners, and end-users across the UK and Ireland.
This role requires specialisation within the electronic security industry, with a focus on unified platforms that integrate access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and building management into a single ecosystem.
Minimum 5 years' experience in the electronic security sector is required, with a passion for identifying new opportunities in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Take full ownership of new business acquisition, ensuring quota targets are achieved and exceeded through:
- Proactive pipeline management and contract closure
- Development and execution of a structured regional growth sales strategy
- Monthly sales forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely market visibility
- Accountability for overall performance, with regular reviews and corrective action plans
- Drive demand for integrated platforms such as GMS, VIGIL CORE, and UNISON, positioning them as leading solutions for:
- Multi-site and enterprise environments
- Key verticals including banking & finance, utilities, retail, data centres, and critical infrastructure
- Conduct territory and account acquisition plans aligned with expansion goals
- Generate more pipeline through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement
- Promote Pacom’s unified security and operational efficiency value proposition

Channel & Account Management
- Build and manage relationships with Value-Added Resellers (VARs), system integrators, and partners:
- Acting as the primary point of contact
- Identifying, developing, and closing partnerships
- Manage key end-user accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and revenue growth
- Conduct regular business reviews to uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Understand customers’ business challenges and strategic objectives
- Maintain high standards of engagement, ensuring responsiveness to needs and concerns
Sales Execution
- Deliver persuasive product presentations, demos, and proposals with clear value differentiation
- Manage complex enterprise sales cycles, including RFPs and tenders
- Negotiate commercial agreements while aligning with company policies
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation with up-to-date forecasts, activities, and pipeline health
- Submit regular reports on:
- Territory performance
- Pipeline status
- Market intelligence
- Monitor competitors and industry trends, feeding insights to enhance business strategy
- Achieve and exceed all sales targets, including monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives

Collaboration & Market Insight
- Work across internal teams (technical, marketing, customer services) to drive better client outcomes
- Provide market feedback on customers, competitors, and shifts in technology trends – particularly:
- Integrated security, SaaS, and cloud-based solutions
- Stay ahead of industry developments to inform growth strategies
Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience in electronic security (preferably with a background in access control, CCTV, video surveillance, alarm integration, and cloud/SaaS solutions)

Proven track record in pipeline generation, including successful introductory outreach and follow-up

Deep familiarity with key product/technical areas:
- CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and video analytics
- Integrated security platforms, PSIM, and multi-site systems
- SaaS/cloud security (desirable)

Experienced in safe-to-meet prospects via:
- Direct customer engagement
- System integrators and channel partners

Ability to sell to enterprise and multi-site organisations

Excellent in communication, presentation, and negotiation

Self-motivated for fieldwork and independent work

Must hold a full driver’s licence and be prepared to travel across the UK & Ireland
