Business Development Manager EMEA (Growth & Expansion)

Business Development Manager EMEA — Growth & Expansion Based in United Kingdom | Data & Intelligence Platform

About the Role This is a high-impact commercial role, dedicated to driving international growth across the EMEA region for a leading data and intelligence platform. Targeting startups, investors, corporates, and public institutions, the Business Development Manager will own the full sales cycle—from strategic prospect identification to closing complex consultative deals with senior stakeholders. The role demands a data-driven, insight-led sales approach, prioritizing quality over volume, and expecting strong contributions to go-to-market strategy, messaging refinement, and commercial process improvements. Ideal for commercially driven, analytically minded professionals who excel in high-trust, international environments.


Accountabilities

  • Pipeline Development

    • Build and refine a high-quality B2B pipeline in EMEA, with a focus on strategic accounts across:
      • Venture Capital (VC) firms
      • Corporate innovation teams
      • Public sector institutions
  • Prospect Engagement & Outreach

    • Execute targeted outbound and inbound strategies using:
      • Data-driven research
      • LinkedIn and social selling
      • Networking via industry events
      • Referral programs
    • Engage senior stakeholders—mission-critical for closing high-value deals.

  • End-to-End Sales Ownership

    • Lead qualification, discovery, and negotiation phases, delivering tailored demos to align solutions with client challenges.
    • Manage full-cycle commercial processes, from initial contact to contract closing.
    • Collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership teams to:
      • Refine messaging based on market feedback
      • Optimise the go-to-market execution.
  • Strategic Contributions

    • Shape the commercial strategy as the business expands into new markets and segments.
    • Position the platform as a strategic intelligence tool, bridging customer challenges with data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in full-cycle B2B sales or business development—preferably in SaaS, data platforms, or complex B2B environments.
    • Proven ability to manage targeted outbound prospecting with a thoughtful, research-driven approach.
    • Expertise selling to senior stakeholders, including:
      • executives
      • strategy teams
      • investors
      • public sector decision-makers
